My own writing experience since leaving university includes publicity such as press releases and book cover blurbs, research reports (see Research) and open learning texts.
 My main clients have been Harvey Nichols for Ashford Open Learning, who took me on as an Open Learning Writer for the summer of 96, preparatory to the opening of the new Leeds branch, and Videotel Marine International, who took me on as a Freelance Print Author at the end of 96, and for whom I am still working.
I am proud to have spent 10 years as a writer/researcher on their comprehensive list of training titles, and privileged to have been offered individual responsibility for such key components of the list as the international maritime induction training programme and the shipping industry's worldwide energy saving programme.
